About the webinar

The first webinar in the series took place on 31 March. Framed within the context of the recently published Swiss Re Institute Natural Catastrophe Sigma 1/2023, the discussion looked at physical climate change as one of the loss drivers behind the publication's 2022 natural catastrophe figures and put it into perspective amongst the other economic risk drivers. Prof. Dr. Sonia Seneviratne of ETH Zurich, joined Swiss Re's Climate Change Expert Thierry Corti to discuss where we really see signs of climate change impacting / driving nat cat increase / intensity.
