Prof. Dr. Sonia Seneviratne Land- Climate Dynamics ETH Zurich

Sonia Seneviratne is a Professor for Land-Climate Dynamics at ETH Zurich. Her research focuses on climate extremes and land-climate interactions. She investigates processes leading to droughts and heat waves, the impact of land processes and land cover changes on regional climate, and their changes with global warming.

Prof. Seneviratne was an author and lead author on several reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and is listed among the Highly cited researchers of Web of science. She also ranks among the most influential climate researchers globally.
