In the third chapter of our SONAR Dialogue Series we will discuss concrete actions underway on protecting biodiversity in the European Union (EU). In Europe, nature preservation and restoration have been put at the core of the EU Green Deal, which aims to transform the EU economy and society to meet climate ambitions and protect the lives of citizens and future generations.
This event follows our discussion with Elizabeth Maruma Mrema, Executive Secretary of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity and Co-Chair of the Taskforce for Nature Financial Disclosures. Over the course of an hour, we discussed the outcomes of COP 15 and the next steps necessary to translate the new global biodiversity framework into concrete policy actions. You can watch the recording on the event page.
