Financial Accounting Associate II

The Accountant II performs intermediate-level professional accounting duties. This includes maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies. The role may also involve supporting audits, budget preparation, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
- Prepare journal entries, balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial reports.
- Analyze financial data to forecast revenues and expenses.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing work papers and documentation.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Process revenue collections, customer payments, and accruals.
- Manage fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations.
- Provide financial data and guidance to internal departments.
- Prepare regulatory filings (e.g., sales & use tax reports).
- Participate in process improvement initiatives.
