About The Role
Data insights
- Strong attention to detail is required to analyze the data and support in decision making in consultation with various stake holders to enable value services to client
- Able to interpret large data and derive logical conclusions which facilitate inputs for business requirements
- Find opportunities for simplification and be enabler to drive Operational excellence and bring valuable business insights to rest of the value chain
Data Quality & Risk Management
- Monitor the risks in relation to quality assurance by using monitoring tools, control reviews and ensure effective Governance across L&H Operations
- Identify data quality inefficiencies and drive the improvement in close collaboration with Enabling teams with a goal to eliminate/mitigate risks and ensure optimized usage of available resources
Audit, ICOFR & CRS activities
- Evidencing and validating external/internal audit requirements, by coordinating with Ops teams, Liaison Managers and branch level auditors
- Act as first point of contact for Group Internal Audit & any other internal audits
- Identify, prepare and deliver CRS reviews in collaboration with Liaison managers according to global and regional guidelines
Financial Monitoring
- Comparison of Actuals Vs Expected, Identifying differences in Cashflows, Variance analysis in coordination with various departments
- Quarterly monitoring and reporting out the key finding of various financials to support closing activities
- Analyzing Revenue and statistical figures during periodic closing
- Performing pre- and post-closing activities, generate and publish various control reports
- New business volume comparison with actual client reported figures and providing inputs for accurate projections
- Data Analysis-Carry out simplified study to provide early warning signals on the trending of key financials highlighting any business-related impacts
- Support in IFRS implementation in coordination with Finance, Valuations team
Advanced Validation and Reporting
- Understand the contractual agreement as signed between Swiss Re and the client, perform data validation with due diligence. This includes validations pertaining to Premiums, Claims & Underwriting clauses
- Prepare product level synopsis as per client data, to derive valuable insights for the Portfolio Management, Actuarial & Products teams
- Be-spoke validation basis the request from XFT teams-Generate and provide analysis of regular reports for a variety of functions on Technical Accounting data
- Effectively engage with other business areas to identify and complete additional 'benefit' analytical support
- Regulatory Reporting-Quarterly/Half yearly reporting to Finance, as per the regional regulatory requirement
- Collaborate beyond Operations, e.g. with Valuation, Finance, Experience Studies and Data Management & Insights (DMI)

L&H Operations insights team is part of L&H Operations.
The team consistently demonstrates agility and client centric behavior, handle Financial monitoring, ensures key financial controls are met, quality assurance to mitigate/control risks, monitor the performance of key portfolios, involved in Data handling and manipulation to provide business insights considering the increasing complexity and demands of the growing markets and L&H Inforce book.
With continuous improvement and commercial mind-set, aim is to provide external clients and internal partners with fast, easy, and effective ways of conducting business. Providing insights and reporting for Risk Management, monitoring Operations signal for Portfolio health dashboard-Smart circle, other KPI inputs for Operational & Business review meetings with senior management and Market Units.
About You
- 4-6 years overall Insurance/Reinsurance domain experience with financial planning and Analysis
- Strong technical knowledge Life and Health Insurance/Reinsurance concepts with good E2E Value Chain understanding
- Strong Analytical skills (flair for figures) - Must have expertise in Advanced Excel, nice to have expertise in SAS/SQL, Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence skill set (Python knowledge would be an added advantage)
- Effective interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills enabling to drive resulted oriented outcomes in line with Risk management practices
- Ability to challenge the status quo & manage multiple stakeholders (multi-cultural and cross functional teams in a virtual set-up)
- Understanding business rationale which enables business decisions creating a positive impact for clients
- Being An agile team player with the ability to manage own workload and demonstrates a sense of Accountable, Responsible and Commitment
- Bachelor/master's in finance or accounting, Insurance/Finance (IFRS 17 know-how) related certifications preferred
- Ability to coach/mentor team members and effectively lead & manage any initiatives assigned.
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 1 800 and EUR 3 000 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
