Professional Experience

Anna Gawlikowska is the CEO and co-founder of SwissAI AG.  As a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich), SwissAI is a leader in artificial intelligence and digital twin technology for the planning and real time operations of mobility, energy, and real estate assets with global customers in Europe, Asia and North America.

Anna Gawlikowska has over a decade of professional experience in architecture and urban planning.  She began her career as a Senior Researcher at the ETH Zurich in 2011.  She focused on managing the development of digital tools for the planning of urban, energy and mobility systems utilising large-scale optimisation in collaboration with industry partners and governmental institutions. She managed the Swiss Mobility Lab, coordinating the research incubator’s transdisciplinary research across several departments at ETH Zurich. In 2017, she was appointed Head of Digitalisation Strategy at Implenia, where she was responsible for establishing the Group’s future business strategy based on new technological developments.

She has also served as an advisor for the European Commission’s Department of Energy and Department of Research and Development, as well as a member of the Horizon 2020 Advisory Group on Energy.

Anna Gawlikowska joined SwissAI in 2019 as its Chief Operations Officer. In 2021, she became the company's Chief Executive Officer, combining the roles of CEO and Chief Sales Officer.
