Caesar J. M. Mwangi CEO ICEA LION Insurance Holdings Ltd

Caesar is the Chief Executive Officer of ICEA LION Insurance Holdings Ltd, as well as Director of ICEA LION Life Assurance Company, ICEA LION General Insurance, ICEA LION Asset Management Company and the ICEA LION Trust Company.

ICEA LION Group is a one-stop financial services group offering innovative solutions and services in insurance, pensions, investments and trusts through its eight Companies in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

Caesar has had an illustrious career in various management and leadership roles spanning over 25 years in various locations in Africa. Prior to joining the ICEA LION Group, Caesar served as the Managing Director of Sasini PLC (Agribusiness), Africa Regional Director of the Global Village Energy Partnership (Renewable Energy), Chief Executive Officer of Trans Africa renewable energy enterprise Sunny Money and Finance Director of the Independent Mediation Service of South Africa among other roles. 

He has a PhD. in Organizational Performance and Change Management from the University of Johannesburg and an MBA from the Wits Business School in Johannesburg.

He is currently a member of the Board of the UNEP – PSI (United Nations Environmental Program, Principles of Sustainable Insurance) and the UNEP FI Leadership Council.

He is married and is a father of boys and girls who give him the reason to continuously strive to be the best version of himself as he contributes to a better future for the next generation.
