Ole Hanekop Senior Actuarial Analyst Hannover Re

Ole is a senior analyst in Hannover Re’s Natural Catastrophe modelling unit. In his position he is responsible for vendor model validations and in-house model developments, in particular for earthquake and flood risks. In addition, he coordinates NatCat reinsurance treaty modelling for the American continent. Ole initiated Hannover Re’s sponsorship of the Global Earthquake Model (GEM) foundation in 2010 and brought insurance industry knowledge into this public-private partnership. He was as well involved in Hannover Re becoming an Oasis LMF Member.

Ole received a PhD in Geophysics and a Master degree in Physics from Georg-August-University Göttingen, Germany.
