Further Information
Technical hands-on workshop (Optional Morning Session)
A technical hands-on workshop (in person ONLY) will be held in the morning of the 28th September from 9am - 12pm.
Limited spaces available.
Requirements:
Oasis will be hosting a technical workshop on the morning of the conference where attendees will be able to set up and see Oasis working on the newly released distributed platform using an open model.
The workshop is aimed at technically minded attendees, such as IT professionals, data scientists and model developers. This shouldn’t necessarily exclude participants with other backgrounds, like insurance, but a basic level of knowledge is assumed in the following in order to get the most out of the session:
- How to interact with a REST API.
- Running and editing Python code in a jupyter notebook.
- A basic understanding of what Kubernetes is.
- A basic understanding of what Keycloak is.
- Familiarly with MS Azure.
- Familiarly with the oasislmf package.
Users will be required to bring their own laptop with an up to date web browser installed (Chrome / Firefox / Safari), and should be able to install (or have pre-installed) the jupyterlab package.
We will also be accessing Oasis hosted MS Azure environments during the session, and so any users with locked down laptops will need to work with Oasis in advance to arrange access to the instances (or to an alternative, self-hosted environment).
