COP29: Every fraction of a degree counts

We welcome the hosting of COP29 by the government of Azerbaijan and look forward to acceleration of actions on climate mitigation and adaptation in a just transition.

Partnering for Progress

It is time for governments and business to double down on climate action. Governments and the private sector need to enhance collaboration to deliver on the Paris Agreement goals, closing the ~600Gt emissions reduction ambition gap by 2050 to limit global warming to 1.5°C.

It is clear that adapting to the already changing climate must go hand in hand with mitigation efforts. We want to make progress on both mitigation and adaptation actions during our time at COP29.
