Geopolitical and macroeconomic factors are creating uncertainty in the reinsurance market, causing “a flight to quality”, according to Urs Baertschi, Chief Executive officer, Reinsurance EMEA, and Member of the Group Executive Committee at Swiss Re. Baertschi said this plays to the scale and breadth of Swiss Re’s relationships and product offerings for its clients. "Insurers need to become more efficient. They need a reinsurance partner with a broad range of solutions, tools and services designed to get the very best from their existing books of business," he stated.
